Day 12: A Nagging Wife

Proverbs 21:9
Better to live on the roof than share the house with a nagging wife.

NAG-ANNOY OR IRRITATE (A PERSON) WITH PERSISTENT FAULT-FINDING OR CONTINUOUS URGING. SINGLE: NAGGING IS A BAD HABIT THAT YOU PICK UP BEFORE MARRIAGE. YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF COMPLAINING TO GOD ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT HIM TO DO FOR YOU BECAUSE YOU’RE DESERVING OF A HUSBAND, INSTEAD OF USING THIS SEASON TO GROW IN YOUR WIFE EVOLUTION AND PREPARE FOR YOUR HUSBAND. STOP ACTING LIKE YOU’RE ENTITLED TO A HUSBAND AND PREPARE FOR WHAT YOU’RE PRAYING FOR.
WIFE: NAGGING YOUR HUSBAND DOESN’T MOTIVATE HIM TO DO WHAT YOU’RE ASKING OF HIM. IT’S ENCOURAGING HIM TO GO INTO THE WORLD TO FIND A CHEERLEADER TO BUILD HIM UP FROM THE WORDS THAT YOU’VE USED TO BREAK HIM DOWN. SPEAK LIFE UNTIL WHAT YOU DESIRE, STARTS LIVING.

WIFE ASSESSMENT DO YOU MAJOR IN MINOR THINGS BY COMPLAINING ABOUT EVERYTHING? DO YOU FIND YOURSELF SEEING THE BAD AND NEVER APPRECIATING THE GOOD? DO YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT WHAT YOU DESIRE TO HAPPEN BECAUSE OF YOUR FALSE EXPECTATIONS? DO YOU HAVE TO GET THE LAST WORD IN? DO YOU CONSTANTLY TRY TO PROVE YOUR POINT?

Provcrbs 21:9 means that a man would rather be someplace else then with a nagging wife. a wife usually talking, correcting, debating, scolding, suggesting, reminding, and making herself unbearable nuisance………. because of pride she wont submit or shut up.
Instead I want to be meek and have a quiet spirit— to endure offenses rather than avenge them or defend myself. I want to learn to be a good wife. But first seeking God and pleasing him.

DO YOU MAJOR IN MINOR THINGS BY COMPLAINING ABOUT EVERYTHING? No. I never did, in past relationships, I never complained. I think I was more super quiet and not say anything and just do.
DO YOU FIND YOURSELF SEEING THE BAD AND NEVER APPRECIATING THE GOOD? I always seen good in people I dated and always wanted the best for them. I just had the wrong person.
DO YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT WHAT YOU DESIRE TO HAPPEN BECAUSE OF YOUR FALSE EXPECTATIONS?
    No.
DO YOU HAVE TO GET THE LAST WORD IN? No never, I always kept quiet, I didn’t argue back. usually was quiet and left. I think it even made them more mad.
DO YOU CONSTANTLY TRY TO PROVE YOUR POINT? No. I had some reasonable talks and I never debated, just said what I thought and him for himself, and I would listen…….. I believe the last relationship I had, I learned a lot because we talked a lot and the communication was good. However, even if he was in the room I felt alone. Like I was alone and he was a workaholic and travelled a lot. His ex didn’t want to leave him alone either. But it was a learning experience. I wish him well .. and all the best. and I pray for him.

Do you major in minor things BY COMPLAINING ABOUT EVERYTHING?I have been guilty of this in the past
DO YOU FIND YOURSELF SEEING THE BAD AND NEVER APPRECIATING THE GOOD? No not all all
DO YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT WHAT YOU DESIRE TO HAPPEN BECAUSE OF YOUR FALSE EXPECTATIONS?No
DO YOU HAVE TO GET THE LAST WORD IN?No
DO YOU CONSTANTLY TRY TO PROVE YOUR POINT? Yes guilty again
My last relationship was so dysfunctional it seem like I always had something to fuss about and he was always doinv things to make me mad. He Also complained about everything . I pray that my next Relationship will not be the same and that I can have a quiet and meek sprit Even when things are not right.

    Proverbs 21:9
Better to live on the roof than share the house with a nagging wife. WOW! Powerful, harsh but yet so true!!! I tried to explain this to a friend of mine because I too went through this.. My significant other loved me but I nagged so much about certain things.. he didn’t want to be around me as much… My friend nagged about everything and everything was,” what he should be doing and me. me, me” He is now asking for a divorce after only being married for a year and 7 months out of the year he was away on active duty.. As a 1 1/2 old friend I decided to tell her the truth about her nagging and demanding to him is pushing or has pushed him away… After that I have not really heard back from her.. I told her unapologetically sorry, but as a friend, I must tell you the truth.. I was speaking from experience. My experience was not as bad as hers.. She was a complainer, a nagger, negative and very pushy. The truth hurts, but a man will stray and not come home if there is always nagging whether it is for a just cause or not.
DO YOU MAJOR IN MINOR THINGS BY COMPLAINING ABOUT EVERYTHING? Not minor, but something that bothers me and if it needs to be resolved and I see no change.
DO YOU FIND YOURSELF SEEING THE BAD AND NEVER APPRECIATING THE GOOD? NO. I still see the good, but want a resolution to the bad.
DO YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT WHAT YOU DESIRE TO HAPPEN BECAUSE OF YOUR FALSE EXPECTATIONS? At times, yes
DO YOU HAVE TO GET THE LAST WORD IN? Some times… But he does not allowed it most times lol
DO YOU CONSTANTLY TRY TO PROVE YOUR POINT? Yes, Yes and Yes… but it’s shutdown most times.
