A Kingdom Husband: Week 19

A Kingdom Husband

A husband is the captain of the marriage, he needs to know who he is and where he’s going in life before he adds a wife and family to his ship. He has a great responsibility to be ready to guide his ship toward Destiny so that his wife and children can follow.
God gave men a great responsibility of being a demonstration of his authority in the earth. He put Adam in the garden and told him to do four things.
  1. Be Fruitful
  2. Multiply
  3. Take Dominion
  4. Subdue the earth
God gave men free will to walk in the blessings by doing life his way. Men are producers of life and women are carriers of life and together they can reproduce the Kingdom of God in the earth.
This is why he created male and female to work together. Two of the same can’t reproduce because it’s against Gods nature. God will never go against the way he called forth creation.
Genesis 2:24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.
God called a husband to leave his family and go build a new life with his wife. When two become one flesh, it requires unity to war against the enemy. Each person has to choose to fight for their marriage and not at each other.
A marriage requires two to become naked and unashamed of past mistakes, generational curses, shortcomings and struggles. You have to ask yourself if you could be satisfied with that person now(just the way he is), appreciate him as he gets better and still stay if he gets worse.
Ephesians 5:25-28 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
A husband sanctifies his wife through Christ by causing her to bloom where she is planted in life. The issue is that wives are like roses, as beautiful as the flowers are, the thorns cut. A husband has the ability to bring healing to the area that a woman was once wounded. When he loves his wife like Christ, he can make wis wife forget the pain of her past.
A husband submits to Christ so he can lead, guide and direct his family. He is the visible manifestation of Gods glory in the earth. When a husband is submitted to Christ, he will not be perfect yet God perfects him by the way of the Holy Spirit.
The husbands 3 vital responsibilities in marriage:
  • Lead
  • Provide
  • Protect
A God sent husband will:
Love Like Christ
Live Like Christ
Lead Like Christ
Die For His Wife
He will not be perfect, he will be perfect for you.
That requires him to:
  • Know His Purpose
  • Hear Gods Voice
  • Obey His Instructions
  • Die To His Flesh Daily
  • Walk Out His Destiny
You will never marry a perfect man yet you can pray for him to be like the Men Of God in the bible.
Husband Goals:
  • Let him worship like David
  • Be wise as Solomon
  • Lead like Joseph
  • Be humble as Solomon
  • Be a mighty man of valor like Gideon
  • Be courageous like Joshua
  • Let him pray like Daniel
  • Let him lay down his life like Jesus
The key to success as a husband is to effectively pray for God to give you the ability to maintain and navigate a tight “SHIP”(your family) to success.
Husband Prayer:
Dear Lord,
I ask that you give me the ears to hear your voice & obey your instructions. The voice of a stranger, I will not follow. Lead, guide & direct me and my family in the way that we should go. No weapons formed against us shall prosper. Any tongue that rise against us shall be destroyed. Give me the wisdom that I need to prosper my family, to love my wife and guard my heart. Keep me in a place of humility and teach me to love my wife like Christ. I leave no room for the devil. In the time of temptation, I take the way of escape.
In Jesus Name Amen
